The original brief was to create a series of images to breathe life into a dialogue about WeTransfer and it’s services. The key function was to introduce WeTransfer to a new audience, and significantly to communicate the positive work WeTransfer do beyond it’s primary file sharing service.
The volume of copy posed an interesting challenge to us, and whilst the initial plan was to create static imagery, we eventually decided animation would be the most appropriate medium to communicate a lot of information in a relatively short time. Animating our illustrations brought them to life whilst also giving the copy space and room to breathe.
We created various characters to reflect WeTransfer’s key brand values of ‘creative, enthusiastic and fun.’ Each animation style is unique but the separate messages are unified through the use of typography and layout, ensuring the whole campaign is both expressive and cohesive.
